Saint Elen is a Celtic Saint. She is remembered as the daughter of a chieftain of north Wales named Eudaf or Eudwy, who lived somewhere near the Roman base of\u00a0<\/i><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Segontium\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><i>Segontium<\/i><\/a><i>, now\u00a0<\/i><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Caernarfon\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><i>Caernarfon<\/i><\/a><i> in the 4th century. The tale of love and war &#8211; Macsen dreamed of her and he travelled from Rome to Wales to find her. They fell in love and married. She is remembered for having Macsen build\u00a0<\/i><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Roman_road\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><i>roads<\/i><\/a><i>\u00a0across her country so that the soldiers could more easily defend it from attackers , thus earning her the name\u00a0Elen Luyddog\u00a0(Elen of the Hosts). Saint Elen is known as the patron saint of travellers. Today, the 160-mile ancient road stretching through Wales \u2018Sarn Helen\u2019 is still named after her.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Wedi\u2019i hysbrydoli gan chwedl \u2018Breuddwyd Macsen\u2019 sy\u2019n gysylltiedig \u00e2\u2019r Mabinogion. Mae hi\u2019n cael ei chofio am gael Macsen i adeiladu ffyrdd ar draws ei gwlad er mwyn i\u2019r milwyr allu ei hamddiffyn yn haws rhag ymosodwyr , a thrwy hynny ennill yr enw\u00a0Elen Luyddog\u00a0(Elen of the Hosts).
